University of Cumbria

The University of Cumbria was formed in 2007 by the merger of St Martin’s College, Cumbria Institute of the Arts and University of Central Lancashire’s Cumbria sites, operating from campuses spread across Cumbria and North Lancashire. At the University of Cumbria we are busy building your new world! We want to create a real sense of place and are constantly investing in your future by developing our campuses to enhance the environment in which you will live, work, study and ultimately achieve. The university has invested over £13million at the Ambleside campus. This includes £4.5million on the development of bespoke new student accommodation, providing high quality ensuite rooms and facilities including several DDA accessible bedrooms.
